I have windows vista and just recently my two year old disc drive died, I had it replaced under warranty and just got it back friday. hopefully i wont have a similar problem. I followed these instructions and burned a CD, but it only had 5 out of the 17 songs I had in my playlist. I have found a solution which I haven't seen on any other forum. his comment is here

I tried different brands of CD's, changing speed, and even bought a new burner. Then reinstall it. Initially I had the itunes 4280 burn error message, which mean't that the burn process was cancelled and the CD-r was turned into a useless 'coaster' (It had the playlist but I have done all that you suggested - in fact I have been using C-Cleaner for a year !Still no pre-recorded CD's are registering on the CD/DVD Drive !

After much research I found out that again everyone had a million reasons similar to the 4028 but none worked. this content I personally tried unistalling my Sony Vaio power management because this deactivates the CD/DVD drive when the battery is low - I knew i was clutching at straws with this one On right side it will show the number KB’s in each, on the left is a place to check. what can I do to fix it? Anyway here it is, in Windows 7 and Vista there is a compatibility mode, right click on the .exe icon of the program you want to run, in this case the Itunes 4450 I read many forums, what I got from them was that Nero is the cause. I am sorry but you can only do system restore for points that are available, Clicking at the arrow at top left is the only way.

help?!? Another vistior mentioned a TDK CD worked as well to fix 4450 error. Step (2) If you have the CD software for the (Ion) EZ- Vinyl converter 2, and EZ Audio Converter, Remove both from your computer, then reload them again. check over here and i came across this forum and tried a few things out.
FWIW, I've been using HP CD-R 52x 700 MB/80 Min with a lot of success until last night. What I'd recommend is to, if you know someone else who's got a drive that works, is hook it up to your computer and see if it works. I just wish I knew what the error actually was so that we could know for sure if it was fixed. But what DID WORK is I installed WINAMP and successfully burned my music onto a CD.
